Q: Why use a wrapping jacket?

A: You spend countless hours wrapping each week trying to maintain the perfect show coat.  A wrapping jacket acts as a barrier over the dogs coat, protecting the hair from "backstroking" on the carpet, the walking back-scratch along the textured walls and anything else their clever minds can think of to rub against.  A wrapping jacket also helps prevent a bored dog from pulling out its wraps.

Q: Lycra is stretchier than satin, why not use that?

A: Lycra is stretchier than satin, however when stretched, lycra becomes rigid and porous which actually pulls hair causing breakage and matting.  Also, lycra is not as breathable as a thin polyester satin and can be uncomfortable in warmer climates.

Q: How do I know what size to get to fit my dog?

A: The Elite Wrapping Jacket comes in 2 sizes: S/M and M/L.  See our sizing page for more information and photos.

Q: Do I have to wrap my dog before using a wrapping jacket?

A: Yes.  NEVER put a wrapping jacket on an unwrapped dog unless you want a matted mess.  Always oil and wrap before using a wrapping jacket.

Q: How is the Elite Wrapping Jacket better than the other jackets on the market?

A: The Elite Wrapping Jacket is made from 100% lightweight polyester satin and constructed with the shiny-side inside to eliminate any friction placed on the coat.  We use polyester thread for durability.  Additionally, there are absolutely NO exposed joint seams inside the jacket--nothing that could matt or break the coat.  Some additional features are the high collar which protects neck wraps and the body designed to fit loosely and comfortably on the dog.  Check out the photos below to see detailed views of the seams and design.
